This two-storey extension to the Congenital Heart Centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary is part of a wider £450m project to transform facilities at the hospital and meet growing demand.

This was a restrictive site situated at a busy roadside with a limited storage area, so it was important that materials were delivered in phases, as and when required.

We supplied around 764m2 of our P-Clad system as a rainscreen finish for the project through our Approved Installers, ICS. St Ives Cream Rustica slips and corners from our Classic range and specially ordered Vandersanden Crème slips and corner pieces were used to form soldier course bands of contrasting brick, along with our Light Sandstone Europoint mortar.

With the signage detail creating a distinctive corner block, the end result is an eye-catching modern addition to the hospital.
