I-Clad, our system which is specially designed for interiors, was used as part of the loft style finish at The Hoxton.
The Hoxton, Southwark is a redevelopment of former social security offices, to provide a new 192 bed hotel and offices for The Hoxton Group. We supplied around 1570m² of our I-Clad brick cladding system which is designed especially for interiors. Comprising a pre-laminated 12mm plasterboard panel with our rib skin bonded to it, I-Clad is an easy alternative to traditional masonry. I-Clad’s slim profile means that a real brick finish can be created without compromising the interior floor space.
I-Clad was finished with St Ives Cream Rustica slips and corners from our Classic range which complemented the loft style concept for the interior. St Ives Cream Rustica slips are a cut brick offering a blend of cream/grey hues with a tumbled, distressed finish. The end result is tactile, characterful and stylish, in keeping with the desired aesthetic.
Macai-Limited installed I-Clad and feedback as first time users of our systems has been very positive. Peter Staunton-Lambert, quantity surveyor at Macai, reported that their team found the process simple and enjoyable and would use Eurobrick again on future projects.
