GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

We have recently completed our first full year with our new management team. Even with 47 years’ combined experience between them as long-standing employees, Richard, Dena and Nicola still had to hit the ground running early last year when they completed a management buyout. The team promised it would be ‘business as usual’ following the take over and, as it turns out, 2018 was yet another ‘best year ever’ for Eurobrick.

The business has grown organically since it began in 1990, but the last few years have seen it go from strength to strength. 2018 saw completion of our largest single project to date, a new student accommodation scheme at Godiva Place in Coventry where we supplied around 5350m² of P-Clad to be installed together with specially cut brick slips.

We have also continued our work with McDonald’s Restaurants and its contractors, who we have been working with since 1991 to supply our systems for its ongoing programme of expansion and modification. Last year, we supplied our systems for over 125 separate McDonald’s projects. Since 1991 Eurobrick has been installed on circa 855 restaurants.

We also enjoyed strong sales growth with some of our loyal, repeat customers and a great number of one off projects with residential apartments, schools and hospitality interiors being popular markets for us.

Richard took a little time to reflect on why the business has taken off particularly well in the last few years and what happens next,

“We believe that a greater awareness and understanding of what we do and an increasing interest in offsite and modular construction, together with quality products and a strong team focusing on excellent customer service have all contributed to our continuing success.

Of course, there are challenges. The unpredictable nature of Brexit is not helping anyone in our industry and the changes to Building Regulations back in December have impacted our sector.

We’re positive about the future and are developing some new ideas and opportunities which will be very exciting. In the meantime, we continue to focus on what we do best, providing high quality products, specialist technical advice and first class customer service. And we’re looking forward to celebrating Eurobrick’s 30th anniversary in 2020.”
