Our newest approved installer M&M Contracts Ltd has recently completed the installation of our cladding to the first phase of a private residential development in Surrey, comprising two substantial residences.
The first property uses circa 400m² of our 17mm X-Clad finished with Old English bricks and corners from our Classic Range along with our Light Grey pointing mortar. Old English is a cut brick with tumbled edges and warm tones, which creates a beautiful brick exterior in keeping with the style and quality of the project.
This large neo Georgian style, two storey, detached house was built using steel frame construction and as insulation was already provided for, the thinnest of our X-Clad backer panels was used. The ribbed skin profile on the backer panel helps support and align the bricks, meaning that brick courses can be formed easily and quickly. This contributes towards speed of the project programme, as a traditionally constructed brick skin would have taken much longer to complete. The semi-circular arches above some of the windows were pre-formed off-site and each installed in three segments and pointed along with the rest of the brickwork.
The first phase was successfully completed and M&M Contracts has just started work on phase two of the project, to complete the build of the second detached house. We have supplied our X-Clad system again, together with Old English brick slips and preformed arch details to some of the windows. This phase is due to complete in January 2018.
We are pleased to have M&M Contracts as our newest approved installer. They have proven to be very efficient installers of our systems and as phase one of this project was finished to such a high standard, we are sure they will be as successful with future projects.
