Eurobrick has been working with McDonald’s Restaurants and their contractors for over 25 years. During the early 1990’s, McDonald’s undertook a major expansion campaign in the UK.
Many hundreds of Drive Thru’ restaurants were constructed in a short space of time. Our cladding system was installed on over 800 outlets. The majority of the buildings were prefabricated and factory built, our cladding was installed in the factory and the building modules were then transported to site and craned into position. Eurobrick cladding was ideal for this purpose as it is quick and easy to install, lightweight, robust and low maintenance. Off-site manufacture in a controlled factory environment significantly increased the speed of project delivery, a crucial factor for McDonald’s Restaurants at that time.
Over 25 years on and we continue to supply our systems as part of a pallet of modern finishes currently being used on their restaurants. McDonald’s are undertaking a programme of new build restaurants and modifications/extensions of existing premises up and down the country.
A new build project recently completed by contractor DSM Roofing Ltd from Barnsley, was in Dunbar. In this case, circa 70m² of our X-Clad system was installed off-site by sub-contractor Empsall Brick Cladding & Tinting Services. The new Dunbar restaurant has an attractive mixed finish with Eurobrick supplying specially cut St. Bees Red Rubbed stone slips with our 50mm thick X-Clad backer panels. The stone cladding was pointed with Europoint Brick Red colour mortar.
Dean Foulkes, Director of DSM Roofing Ltd said “We have been working with Eurobrick for 5 years and find its systems simple and easy to install. The end product looks great and our clients are impressed by how effective brick and stone slip cladding systems can be.”
“We have always found dealing with Eurobrick very straightforward; the staff are friendly and go the extra mile to provide a good service.”
