Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH)
Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the UK, in terms of in-patient capacity, but they needed to further expand the patient intake. MTX Contracts were contracted to provide them with a new state of the art 4300m² ward development. They developed a creative design and used modern methods of construction which compressed this potentially 3 years project into just 1 year.
The development was one of the biggest projects at NNUH in 20 years. Providing approximately 100 new beds, the new 3 storey building includes links through to an existing building and on-site works needed to be limited, so much of the construction was carried out off-site.
Eurobrick supplied approximately 1150m² of P-Clad system which was installed on-site by our approved installers ML Brickwork (Southern), once the prefabricated building modules were in place. MTX Contracts’ design utilised curtain walling and Ibstock Brunswick Autumn brick slips, which were specially sourced to match the existing hospital buildings.
